The Regional Australia Institute (RAI) is proud to present our Queensland Regions Rising event in Toowoomba on Thursday, 3 November.
Regions Rising is RAI’s flagship national event series where we take our research around the country to each State and share the RAI’s insights and data on the matters most critical to regional Australians.
RAI CEO, Liz Ritchie and the Minister for Regional Development and Manufacturing and Minister for Water, the Hon. Glenn Butcher will both deliver keynote addresses and will be joined by panellists to discuss issues focussed on housing, education, productivity and innovation, as well as jobs and skills in Queensland.
The furure of regional Australia is bright, with more people than ever before looking to make the move. While this brings many opportunities to regional communities, it also presents some challenges.
We invite you to take a seat at the table in Toowoomba as we work towards our Regionalisation Ambition 2032 in Australia, with attendees and our Regional Activator Alliance (RAA) members – Toowoomba Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE), Heritage Bank and Western Downs Regional Council.

Regions Rising 2022 Queensland Program
Cancellation Policy
The event will be run in accordance with all relevant Government health orders.
If you are unable to attend due to a positive COVID test or being identified as a close-contact and can show us proof, your ticket can be either refunded or we can provide you with access to a Livestream ticket.
There will be no refunds issued for live-stream tickets.
Please contact the RAI directly regarding ticket refunds.
All cancellations must be made in writing (email) to the RAI.
Registrations cancelled more than 30 days before the event will be refunded 80% of the registration fees.
Registrations cancelled less than 21 but more than 30 days before the event will be refunded 50% of the registration fees.
Registrations cancelled less than 14 days before the event will not be eligible for a refund.
Substitute delegates are welcome; however the RAI must be advised in writing (email) of any substitute delegates who will be attending.
